STRUGGLING WITH WEIGHT ISSUES?
Listen to this story.....
I have worked with a lovely lady this week who had struggled with her weight her whole life. She can't ever remember a time that she wasn't overweight. Even her memories as a toddler were of being picked on for being fat. We talked about a time that she did loose some weight, and she said that even though she looked great, something was missing. She wasn't feeling as good as she thought she would being slim. So the incentive of being slim wasn't much of a draw card. But she was constantly frustrated, uncomfortable, sad and disappointed in herself for being fat. So, I worked with her using the Karate Chop point to really get into the subconscious - why did she not feel great when she lost weight? There was a hole in her stomach which she was constantly trying to fill with food. Even if she was full, the hole was there. Working with the subconscious we found that the hole was the body's way of stopping it from being malnourished. You see, when she was a baby she got really sick. And her body suffered greatly. So to protect her from it happening again, it formed this "need" to keep eating. Once we cleared the stress the body had held onto since she was a baby, cleared the hole in her stomach and all the feelings of missing out, not getting enough & comfort that food was making up for, her eating patterns have completely changed, she feels full all the time and no longer looks to fill the hole the body had created to stop her from being malnourished again. You see, food really is never the issue. It is our body's way of protecting us. Usually an illness, trauma or stress in the past affects how our body behaves today. What is eating telling you about yourself?
