I stepped into my kitchen this morning and took note of my internal monologue...
It was saying "Why don't you be more efficient? Why can't you get things done when you say you will? What is wrong with you?"
As soon as I caught myself say it, I was SHOCKED..
OMG I cant believe I actually talk to myself that way!!
I always thought I was a positive person...
So hearing that was a BIG wake up call....
I made a decision...
I decided that I am going to "back" myself from now on instead of "beat" myself up....
When I said those words, I said to myself
"Kim, its ok. Nobody is perfect. You are doing the best you can. You are awesome and I love you.."
Then the words "FORGIVENESS" came into my mind...
SELF FORGIVENESS....
I realised that at that very moment, that for 43 years I have been beating myself up...
And NEVER ONCE had I said sorry...to me
NEVER ONCE had I supported myself after the berating...
I left myself bruised and battered, from my own doing...
And that awareness made me feel a bit sad...
But not for long..
I was excited...
Because the more I learn about myself, good or bad, the more I am shredding the old and embracing the new...
I had learnt a new way of being...
I was learning the art of SELF FORGIVENESS...
And as I had that exciting awareness, I realised something...
I have 43 years of beating myself up in my body...
No wonder I am overweight!!
So I am looking forward to supporting my own laziness as self care
I am looking forward to supporting myself when trying to "beat the clock" to get things done..
And just trusting the Universe that everything is always done
In perfect time...
I'm going to catch myself looking in the mirror at my body and say...
"I'm so sorry... I know you have gone through so much for me, and I am forever grateful...
Thank you for supporting me when I didnt support myself...
I am going to look after and love you from now on....
And I know that all these lumps and bumps are just years and years
Of Self Berating Behaviour, built up over time....
I say goodbye to this behaviour and hence goodbye to this build up...
You are now safe to release this, dear body, as we journey on TOGETHER...
Into a fun and exciting future...
Thank you for always being there and putting up with my rubbish...
You no longer have to put up with that anymore..
I love you...."
